not to be famous but to actually be the american idol.
i am sure that it is better for him to not have won or else he WOULD have won, you know?
everything happens for a reason, whether we know what that is or not.

his not winning does not take any of the enormous gifts he has away from him.

He IS the American Idol! What does Cook get, a title and a trophy? He has to sing what they make him sing, he's under contract. Now Archie can go out and sing what he wants to sing. He can show the world what he's truly made of!

Archie took it like a man and we have to to....we have to understand that Archie looked like he sort of knew that Cook would win. That's why he poured his entire soul into each and every song. I've seen haters applaud him. He may not have the crown but he showed EVERYONE that he has what it takes. My dad is a Cook fan but before the results came out he was like "Arch is gonna win. He came to win it the other night and deserves it" so that's enough.
Archie rocked the finale show so we all know who did the best but Cook deserves it too.

Be a gracious-runner-up. That's what Archie would want.

hey everybody, this is my first post. i finally registered today, like about 5 minutes ago. i have been lurking around here for about 2 months though. i live all the way out here in hawaii and the show doesnt even start for another 2 hours, but i just couldnt help it, i had to find out. i am very disappointed, but archie needs us, his loyal fans, more than ever right now. he needs to know that he is still loved and that we did not give up on him.

Despite the fact that he didn't win, I still love David Archuleta with all my heart. And he's going to be famous no matter what. He's already an American Idol! His voice isn't going to go away. Yeah, I'm really, really disappointed, and I think the show pimped Cook, but they both deserved to win, and I'll get over it. David rocks my socks off, and nothing's going to change that.

And tonight was definitely not a bust, as we got to see David out-sing the lead singer of OneRepublic (awesome song for him, btw) and dance in his undies. Heck yeah.

I'm feeling really strange right now. It will be very sad not to see David every week anymore. One thing that has gotten to me is that I believe AI orchestrated a real ratings drama by creating all the negative buzz on his dad on the best day David was having..his homecoming. That story never should have been leaked. I can't help but think it was all part of a smear campaign by the brass at AI to set DC up for the win. Simons DC for the win comments Friday night on Leno, Paula's DC comments, Nygel's comments to the press about his dad. For whatever reason, they did not want our David to take this. Maybe I am seeing too much into this, but its just way too much. Then Simons ridiculous rant tonight backing off of his comments he gave to DC last night. Anyway... I feel bad, for David, for us. But I do know we will get over this. Time takes care of things nicely. It always does. Just think of all the amazing times we had with David this season. Although I'm beyond angry at AI, its hard not to give them credit for bringing David to us in the first place. I'm a fan for life and winning or runner up would never change that.
