I've never heard this song before but I thought is was a very good performance. It's probably not the type of song we are used to hearing from David but I think it's good to mix it up a bit. Just my opinion, but I don't agree with Simon about the song not being him. It may not be David's type of song (ballads) to sing but if you listen to the lyrics, it's probably why he chose it. I may be mistaken but David almost always tries to convey a message with his songs.

omg. I have to tell you something. I wanted to vote for David really bad. And I actually got through last night. But I wasn't sure of what number he was. So I voted for 7 like 70 times. And guess who it was ?! Carly ! Doesn't that suck ? Do you think he'll still be safe ?

I have to tell you guys, I downloaded You're the Voice off iTunes and now love it. He sounds AMAZING on it. His voice sounds so rich and pure. Like Paula said, he could sing the phone book. Way to go David!! Another home run as far as I'm concerned!!

Ok lets talk about one "note" that went all over the place almost at the end of the song but hey ... It was a really difficult song to sing ...
I've never heard that song before and it's more complicated to connect with a song that is not familiar to us
But he did a pretty good job !!! The more I watch his performance the more I fell in love with it.

And just for the record the studio version is my favorite of all the previews David's ones.
He sounds so mature .. so grown up !!!!

I believe he picked the song too. I think it was a brave choice. I was torn the night he sang it. I didn't think it was maybe the "smartest" choice given that most people didn't know it. But, now having listened to his studio recording, I love it.

I have actually been kind of shifting my view on David meaning my support for him is more about HIM rather than the show. Yes, I will vote for him like crazy, but no matter what. When this is over, however it ends, I'm supporting his career. Because he is an amazing talent and person BIGGER than this show.

So if he wants to sing a song that not many people know, then that is fine with me. I'll support him. He turns anything he touches into gold anyway.

if i could vote david archuleta is the one i would vote for because i think he is the best on the show even though he doesnt sing fast songs i dont care because he is so good at the slow ballet songs that he sing and i love his singing voice
