A New Generation Of Wizards

HI GUYS :D
if you don't know me...
i wrote/am writing Angel of Music and Its Only for One Song(see off topic discussion)
im here with a new fic called A New Generation of Wizards. :)
its about David receiving his Hogwarts letter and the adventure that ensues!
its set during the time when Harry's kids are in Hogwarts so there are some old and new characters to come!

Chapter 1: Big Dreamer

I woke up with another headache like the day after my eleventh birthday. I had the strangest dream last night. As if I were in some castle with floating candles. I don’t even know. Don’t lose your head David, the last thing you need is to go nuts before the big talent show tomorrow.

“David” Mom called. “Are you ready?”

“I’m coming!” I replied as I almost tripped down the stairs, hurriedly. My sister Claudia looked at me strangely as I stuffed my cereal in my mouth and ran off to change into something for school. Daniel, Jazzy and Amber were waiting on the couch.

I found some jeans, a polo and my sneakers as I ran out of my room into my dad’s truck. “About time, David.” He laughed.

I sat in between my brother and two sisters, because Claudia had called “shotgun” before me. I ran out of the car into the fifth grade classroom, to find myself sliding in there before the bell rang.

“Hi, David.” My friend Sam said to me.

I caught my breath and sat down. “Hi, Sam” I said in between breaths.

“Are you ready for the big gym exam today?”

“There’s a…”

“Gym exam today.”

“Today?”

“Are you okay?” her facial expression changed from amused to concerned.

“Mr. Archuleta, Miss Henderley, is there something you would like to share with the class?” our teacher Mr. Shaw said. I felt myself blush, and a kick behind me. It was Tom, captain of the fifth grade basketball team. Being the clumsy person I am, I nearly fell out of my seat.

I looked at him. And turned back to my desk to open up my science book. Fifth graders, ugh.

As soon as the bell rang to get out of class, I ran with the rest of the class to the gym. I gulped. There was a huge volleyball net and a rope. NO WAY AM I CLIMBING THAT. EVERYONE KNOWS I AM NOT. I REPEAT. NOT. COORDINATED LIKE THAT. MY LEGS DO NOT WORK LIKE THAT. OH. MY. HECK.

“First up,” Coach Drew announced as he looked at his list. “Archuleta, David.”

OH, GREAT. I pretended not to listen until Joey, my other friend shoved me in front of the class.

“Are you ready, son?”

“No,” I said under my breath.

“Well, good luck.”

I looked at the rope in horror. Now what?

The Sing-off

Has anyone started watching the new a capella show, The Sing-Off?
They said it's a cross between Glee and Idol. Watch and you'll agree :)
ITS AWESOME!
Started last night, gonna continue for this week I think.
